Founder & Programme DirectorJames is a wildlife veterinarian with more than 14 years of field experience across East and Southern Africa. He founded GoWildAtlas to give veterinary students and professionals structured access to the kind of practical wildlife medicine that cannot be learned from a lecture hall.
His work spans large mammal immobilisation, health screening, translocation support, and conservation medicine for lion, elephant, rhino, buffalo, and wild dog populations.

Head of Operations & Participant ExperienceEmma oversees the participant journey from first enquiry to final field debrief. She coordinates applications, travel guidance, accommodation, safety checks, and the small details that make a demanding programme feel calm and well-run.
Her background in conservation operations and student support keeps each placement organised, responsive, and grounded in participant welfare.
