Terms & Conditions.

The core terms for using our website, applying for a programme, and joining GoWildAtlas in the field.

Agreement to These Terms

By using this website, submitting an application, paying a deposit, or joining a GoWildAtlas programme, you agree to these Terms & Conditions. If you are booking on behalf of another person, you are responsible for making sure they understand and accept these terms.

Programme Information

We aim to keep all programme descriptions, dates, prices, inclusions, and field activities accurate. Wildlife veterinary and conservation work is inherently unpredictable, so itineraries, species exposure, activities, accommodation, transport, and partner arrangements may change for reasons including weather, animal welfare, veterinary priorities, safety, permits, staffing, or local operational needs.

Eligibility and Participant Responsibilities

Participants must provide accurate application information, disclose relevant medical or access needs, follow programme rules, respect local communities, and comply with instructions from GoWildAtlas staff, veterinary teams, guides, and host partners. We may refuse, suspend, or remove participation where behaviour creates a safety, safeguarding, legal, welfare, or operational risk.

Applications and Acceptance

Submitting an application does not guarantee a place. A booking is only confirmed when GoWildAtlas has accepted the participant and any required deposit or payment has been received. Places may be limited and are offered at our discretion.

Payments

Payment schedules, deposit amounts, balances, and accepted payment methods will be shared during the booking process. Participants are responsible for paying all amounts by the stated deadlines. Bank fees, card fees, currency conversion costs, and third-party charges are the participant's responsibility unless stated otherwise.

Cancellations and Changes

Cancellation, postponement, transfer, and refund terms may vary by programme and booking stage. Any programme-specific payment or cancellation terms provided in writing during booking will apply.

Travel Documents, Insurance, and Health

Participants are responsible for valid passports, visas, vaccinations, medication, and compliance with entry requirements for all relevant countries. GoWildAtlas can provide general guidance, but official requirements should be checked with embassies, airlines, insurers, and healthcare professionals before travel.

Risk and Field Conditions

Our programmes may involve remote travel, wildlife, veterinary procedures, uneven terrain, heat, insects, boats, vehicles, and limited facilities. Participants must act responsibly and follow safety briefings. GoWildAtlas takes reasonable steps to manage risk, but field conservation work cannot be made risk-free.

Conduct, Safeguarding, and Removal

Participants must comply with our safeguarding expectations and behave respectfully toward staff, peers, partners, communities, and wildlife. Harassment, discrimination, bullying, intoxication that affects safety, illegal activity, unsafe conduct, or repeated refusal to follow instructions may result in removal from a programme without refund.

Website Use and Content

All website text, branding, images, layouts, and materials belong to GoWildAtlas or are used with permission. You may not copy, reproduce, republish, or commercially use our content without written permission.

Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, GoWildAtlas is not liable for losses caused by events outside our reasonable control, including travel disruption, illness, weather, wildlife movement, partner changes, border issues, government action, or force majeure events. Nothing in these terms excludes liability where it cannot legally be excluded.
